The Johari Jaipur

Thank you to all the Johri team for a wonderful stay, the hotel provides an oasis in the middle of the bazar. The rooms are stunning and very clean. Our suite came with a separate bar, day lounge and dressing room. Staying at the hotel also gets you access to the secret guests only bar, which is delightful. The restaurant was fantastic – the food is contemporary Indian, we ended up eating there twice during our stay. I cannot say enough about how exceptional the service was from the staff, as a smaller hotel we had their full attention. They were able to help us with recommendations, reservations and helped get us into places that said they were fully booked. Their help with planning our time in the city was invaluable, even when we were out of the hotel we were able to whatsapp the concierge for advice.

It's located in the old city and a bit inconvenient to walk to. It may wow a tourist though. The food is very refreshing with no aggressive use of spices or masalas. As a fan of multiple cuisines it's refreshing to have Indian food in India that is not over intense but in a balance of all flavours. Visited twice in 24 hours. Fantastic food. Great vibe, great selection of whiskeys. Make an appointment, no kids after 7.30 pm

Food was very good and so was the service. I will give 4.5 for both. Menu is simple, but they do have some interesting mix of food. Best to talk to concierge as Google takes your around small lanes, which makes the entire experience sour to start. There is a short 100 meter drive from the mail market road, which is not shown in Google maps.

Recently, my husband and I had the pleasure of dining at Johri, and it was an absolutely delightful experience. This heritage restaurant's aesthetics takes you back in time. However, what truly elevated our evening beyond the exquisite cuisine was the warm conversation we shared with Harshit ji. The genuine interest in the guests distinguishes the experience, far beyond the realm of fine dining and we definitely felt like welcomed friends! We look forward to our return to relish both the delectable dishes and the wonderful conversations..!

India is the 44th country I’ve visited, and i have stayed in more hotels of every level than I could possibly count. I’ve never been in anywhere with a staff as attentive, caring and wonderful. My partner got quite ill, and upon alerting the staff they called in a doctor, the concierge gave him a head rub, made him Ayurvedic tea, changed us to a late check out and made us feel truly taken care of. Add to that rooms of exquisite sophistication, bedding and towels you want to source for home, the best meal we had in India and it is truly special. If ever I’m back in Jaipur this will be the place I’ll stay, eat, and thank everyone.

The place is beautiful and the vibe is great. Very nice cocktails. But the entire experience was made sour by the service. This is a vegetarian restaurant with no non-dairy food. They have 1 extremely average puri, 1 fruit salad, sev tamatar ki sabzi and plain rice. That’s all. And if you have a food allergy, like I had, they will refuse to accommodate you. If you ask to speak with the chef to try and understand whether they can make something without dairy, the chef will be ‘too busy’. So, if you have any kind of food allergies, kindly steer clear of this place or you’ll spend your night starving. Maybe you’ll get some plain rice to douse your hunger. Extremely disappointed. This has never happened. Every restaurant always accommodates allergies.
